December 18, 2009, I decided after too many nights of ridiculous partying, I was going to stop drinking. I decided that from that night for at least a full year, I was not going to have any alcohol at all. It was a long, trying year, dealing with partying friends, social events, and stressful days, but I did it. I made it over a full year without drinking, and it felt AMAZING! With family and friends support I accomplished something I set out to do. After accomplishing that goal, I realized that I can do whatever I want as long as I put my mind to it. For that reason, I have decided to create my own "Bucket List" or New Years Resolutions of sorts.
My first item on the "Bucket List" is what you are reading now. I have decided to try and write one blog each day. I may not be the most interesting person, but I usually always have something to say. With Ziggy's "The Daily Fish" and Becky's "Stories of the South Pacific" I found inspiration reading about other peoples hobbies or travels. My idea with this blog is to make a list of things I would like to accomplish (big or small) and to write about them. So I have begun my "Bucket List" for 2011 with this first post, and hopefully the first of many to come.
Bucket List
-Write one blog post a day
-Post one picture on blog each day
-Work out 5 days a week
-Train for a marathon
-Try kickboxing
-Join soccer league
-Try burlesque dancing
-Try pole dancing
-Go skydiving
-Go bungee jumping
-Read more than one book a month
-Travel more
The List isn't complete, but hopefully it will grow throughout 2011, and I can look back at what I have accomplished and be proud!
